In the beginning, the tour guide inquired where people came from if they were not local residents of Washington State. Our Seattle's Underground 1.5 hour walking tour comprised mostly tourist from all over the world. People came from places like, Canada, New York, Germany, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ukraine, China, and Korea. I was the only local person from Washington State but the tour was still interesting. Except for the faint musty smell, the underground felt like I was going through an amusement pirate or haunted hideout. A good walking shoe is recommended because of the uneven floor surfaces and stair cases. The tour guide did mention that many settlers suffered strange deaths during the gold rush era and the dead may still be walking the tunnels in the after life. The tour guide also mentioned that people have noticed strange images in their photos taken after a tour.
